When hearing of Savile Row you cannot do otherwise but thank and appreciate the names that established this part of London into bespoke tailoring that lives and breathes up to this day.
Mr Andrew M. Ramroop, a Master Tailor and the name behind Maurice Sedwell joined the world of bespoke tailoring in Savile Row back in 1974. Ever since he has never stopped dreaming of a more debonair world through his garments and sincere personality.
With his vision as a driving force and the desire for the art of tailoring to be passed over to the next generation , he created in 2008 the Savile Row Academy where many new artists continue to emerge into the tailoring world.
Meeting Andrew M Ramroop was a privilege and I wouldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t pursue a meeting with him while I was enjoying the scenery of Savile Row.
We ended up talking for more than an hour while the Maurice Sedwell premises treated me so good that I believe there should be another meeting on the table soon.
Mr Ramroop is such a kind person, passionate about his job and willing to share his knowledge and work unconditionally. He believes that the profession of the traditional tailor should be protected while he believes that in order to rise and succeed in this profession, in life, you should understand what failure feels like first.
