Every time a Pitti ends, it haunts me for a long time until the next one. Its highlights are the moments that give you the motivation to visit soon one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Florence! So in this last Pitti I had the chance to see my beloved ones again, enjoy new stylish propositions that talented people suggested, but most importantly I had the opportunity to meet new friends and new inspiring people – as it happens in every Pitti.
So what was that thing that made Pitti 96 memorable?From the flawless and sharp dandies, to co stars of Peaky Blinders, to the eccentric ones that “shout out” to watch them and of course, those who visit the exhibition just to make the famous picture of Pitti’s well-known. Of course we had the chance to meet legends of menswear who make the most effortless and unpretentious appearance with absolute elegance and they sure got our attention. Truly though, the most interesting things happen somewhere out there in the parallel Pitti’s events, gatherings, alleys and crossroads.
My trip to Florence couldn’t have a better start. Entering one of Florence’s most impressive, imposing and magnificent buildings, Liverano & Liverano House. Further to the Bespoke Athens collaboration meeting and the beloved Italian fine tailoring workshop, I had the chance to meet in person some of the most polite and gentle masters of the male artisan world. I was not able to resist the idea of trying Liverano & Liverano suits, something that for many people is hard to witness!We also discussed and learned more about their tailoring school and how they wish to educate young children who want to work with fine tailoring. They are the best they could learn from!

#Pitti96 second highlight came to the well-known 2nd floor with bespoke creations, where you’ll find me spending most of my time, with the Italian family that plays a big part in my life. The Sciamat family: They were all there. Silvana, Valentino, Nicola and Pippo. That week there was a great surprise waiting for me on my favorite corner. Six months ago I saw a jacket at Sciamat and asked what it was. It was that time that they revealed to me that it was the first female jacket from Lady’s Sciamat new collection. I fell in love at once. It had to me mine!And so it did! With the final alterations in Bespoke Athens -where you can find Sciamat- I did my final fitting and was waiting for my ready made jacket. And then there it was. Waiting for me at Pitti 96! When I tried my brown checked short jacket by Lady Sciamat, I heard a voice saying: “It looks great on you! Really great! “.
And at that moment I could not fail to recognise Karl’s true and honest voice. Edwin Guerre, who honoured me by taking a video of me and my made- to-measure Sciamat jacket. One of the best moments in the show.* Everything about Sciamat and the new Lady Sciamat series can be found at Bespoke Athens.
The third highlight of Pitti was when I visited the Lanificio F.IIi Cerruti 1881 event which held their new project Six for Six. Six ITravellers from the arts, designers, influencers and curators selected by the Cerruti team to portray the finesse of the Italian brand and give their own stigma in influencing the future.Watching the wonderful video of Six For Six during the event, I was moved in front of the talent of the classic dancer Tommaso Spadaccino and reminded me the values of a dancer who never gets out of my mind. Of course i wouldn’t miss meeting, one of the most inspiring women in menswear Sarah Murray –Stylist and Creative Director – who is so cool and lovely to speak with. In addition to that great event, I had the pleasure and the honor to meet all the great project’s participants such as Cerruti’s Sales Director, Umberto Paccotto and the sweet and courteous Simone Ubertino Rosso. Also, Key Accounts & Communication Manager of the company and the opportunity to dine with them in a great place. There is always a party at Pitti. The thing is… who is the organizer? And the right person for this one is Wei Koh and the subversive party of “The Rake” that took place on … a football field a little further from Fortezza Da Basso.When we entered the area, a sound of rock music reached our ears and suddenly we saw a stadium with a bicycle ramp around it.
Since i couldn’t walk on my high heels, i had to take them off, something that instantly make me fell like home. While seeing many familiar faces, I felt the rhythm directly and a craving for dancing. At that very moment the host suggested to me to play music at the event. “But how? How did he even know I was also a DJ .. ?”I wondered. He did not know, he just assumed because Wei’s insight is beyond everything else. I got to dance all night with Lady Sciamat and all the great and important ladies and gentlemen who were in the court which was transformed into the most stylish dancefloor! Prince Gaspolino, Jai Sachdev, Filippo Matera, Bespoke Athens, Giorgio Giangiulio and many more, the best of menswear were all there. Finally, as in every Pitti, the night falls with great drinks and more interesting conversations at Via Roma and everyone goes to Gilli and Savoy. I couldn’t n have asked for a better closure of Pitti’s week when in our final drinks, the crew of Style by Sarai, Jason and the Canadian Sartorialist from Canada were sitting next to us. From a 5 minutes chat, we ended up talking almost the entire night as it didn’t take long to understand the perfect chemistry we had as well as the common perspectives in menswear and lifestyle.

Full of energy, beautiful people and acquaintances with unexpected incidents and endless conversations at the most stunning spot in Europe. So long Firenze! A dopo!
Κάθε φορά που τελειώνει μία Pitti με «στοιχειώνει» για αρκετό καιρό μέχρι την επόμενη. Τα highlights της είναι οι στιγμές που σου δίνουν το κίνητρο για να επισκεφτείς σύντομα ξανά μία από τις πιο όμορφες πόλεις στον κόσμο. Τη Φλωρεντία.
Έτσι λοιπόν και σε αυτή την Ptiti είδα ξανά αγαπημένα πρόσωπα, απήλαυσα ωραίες εικόνες και προτάσεις, αλλά όπως συμβαίνει κάθε φορά και αυτό έχει μεγαλύτερο ενδιαφέρον είναι οι νέοι άνθρωποι που γνωρίζεις. Γιατί η Pitti είναι ανεξάντλητη παρόλες τις σταθερές της αξίες όλων αυτών των χρόνων.
Τι ήταν αυτό όμως που έκανε την Pitti 96 αξέχαστη στα δικά μου μάτια?
Από τους αψεγάδιαστους και sharp dandies λες και βγήκαν από το Peaky Blinders, μέχρι εκείνους που «φωνάζουν» για να τους προσέξεις. Και φυσικά πάντα εκείνους που έρχονται για να βγάλουν την περιβόητη φωτογραφία στους γνωστούς και “χιλιοκλικαρισμένους” τοίχους της Pitti. Αλλά τα πιο ενδιαφέροντα συμβαίνουν κάπου εκεί έξω στις παράλληλες δράσεις της pitti. στα events, στα σοκάκια, στις νέες πόρτες που ανοίγεις.
Δε θα μπορούσε να ξεκινήσει καλύτερα το ταξίδι μου στην Φλωρεντία τον περασμένο μήνα. Η αρχή έγινε σε ένα από τα πιο εντυπωσιακά, επιβλητικά και υπέροχα κτίρια της Φλωρεντίας, στον οίκο Liverano & Liverano. Με αφορμή τη συνάντηση συνεργασίας του Bespoke Athens και του αγαπημένου Ιταλικού fine tailoring workshop, είχα την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσω από κοντά μερικούς από τους πιο ευγενικούς κυρίους του αντρικού artisan κόσμου.
Δε μπόρεσα να αντισταθώ στην ιδέα να δοκιμάσω Liverano & Liverano κάτι που για πολύ κόσμο φαντάζει όνειρο!
Επίσης συζητήσαμε με τους κυριότερους συντελεστες του οικου και μάθαμε παραπάνω λεπτομέρειες για τον εκπαιδευτικό τους χαρακτήρα αφου δίνουν τη δυνατότητα στα νέα παιδιά που θέλουν να ασχοληθούν με το fine tailoring να διδαχτούν από τους καλύτερους! Το δεύτερο highlight της Pitti96 ήρθε στον γνωστό αγαπημένο όροφο με τα bespoke, εκεί όπου θα με βρεις να παιρνάω αρκετό χρόνο της έκθεσης και ιδιαίτερα στην οικογένεια που παιζει μεγάλο ρόλο στη ζωή μου. Ο λόγος για τη Sciamat family και τη στιγμή που κατευθύνομαι προς το γνωστό spot τους για να συναντήσω τη Silvana, το Valentino, το Nicola και τον Pippo.
Εκεί – στην ίδια κουκλα όπως στην προηγουμενη Pitti- με περίμενε το πρώτο μου Sciamat jacket με τα τελικά alterations που ήταν έτοιμο για δοκιμή, τελικό fitting αλλά και αναπαντεχες συναντήσεις. Με το που δοκιμάζω το καρό μου και πρώτο Lady Sciamat blazer , ακούω από μακριά μία φωνή να λεει: “It looks great on you! Really great!” Και δεν θα μπορούσα να μην αναγνωρίσω την γεμάτη αλήθεια και ειλικρίνεια φωνή του Karl – Edwin Guerre ο οποίος μου έκανε την τιμή να με τραβήξει ένα βίντεο για να αναδείξει ακόμα περισσότερο το made to measure Sciamat jacket μου. Μία από τις καλύτερες στιγμές στην έκθεση.

Τρίτο highlight όταν επισκέφτηκα τo event της Lanificio F.IIi Cerruti 1881 με το νέο της project Six for Six. Έξι ITravellers από το χώρο της τέχνης, σχεδιαστές, influencers και curators που επιλέχθηκαν εξαιρετικά από την ομάδα της Cerruti για να απεικονίσουν τη φινέτσα του ιταλικού brand και να δώσουν το δικό τους στίγμα στο να επηρεάσουν το μέλλον.
Παρατηρώντας το υπέροχο βίντεο του six for six κατά τη διάρκεια του event στάθηκα συγκινημένη μπροστά στο ταλέντο του κλασσικού χορευτή Tommaso Spadaccino και μου αναβίωσε τις αξίες του χορού που δε λείπουν ποτέ από τις σκέψεις μου.
Εκτός από ένα υπέροχο event, εγώ ειχα τη χαρά και την τιμή όχι μόνο να γνωρίσω και να συνομιλήσω με όλους τους υπέροχους συντελεστές του project καθώς και με τον Sales Director της Cerruti, Umberto Paccotto και τον γλυκύτατο και βαθιά ευγενή Simone Ubertino Rosso, Key Accounts & Communication Manager της εταιρείας, αλλά και να δειπνήσω μαζί τους σε έναν υπέροχο χώρο. Τους ευχαριστώ αμέτρητα για την πρόσκληση και τη μοναδική αυτή εμπειρία.

Δε θα μπορούσε να υπάρχει Pitti χωρίς πάρτυ. Το θέμα είναι να πας στο σωστό. Αρκεί να ξέρεις. Και ο κατάλληλος για αυτό είναι ο Wei Koh και το ανατρεπτικό party του The Rake που έλαβε χώρα σε… γήπεδο ποδοσφαίρου λίγο πιο μακριά από τη Fortezza Da Basso.
Με το που εισερχόμαστε στο χώρο ένα κύμα από ροκ μουσική ηχούσε στα αυτιά μας και ξαφνικά βλέπουμε ένα γήπεδο στο οποίο περιμετρικά είχε ράμπα για ποδηλάτες. Και φυσικά δεν άργησαν να κάνουν την εμφάνιση-επίδειξή τους και να μας καλωσορίσουν στο χώρο.
Βγάζοντας τα παπούτσια μου και βλέποντας πολλές γνώριμες φυσιογνωμίες ένιωσα απευθείας οικεία και γεμάτη όρεξη για χορό. Ώσπου δεν άργησε να έρθει εντελώς ξαφνικά η πρόταση από τον οικοδεσπότη να παιξω μουσική. «Μα πως? Πως το ήξερε ότι είμαι και DJ..” αναρωτήθηκα. Δεν το ήξερε απλά υπέθεσε γιατί απλά η διορατικοτητα του Wei ξεπερνά ακόμα και την ίδια του την υπόσταση.
Αρκέστηκα στο να χορευω όλο το βράδυ με τη Lady Sciamat και όλους τους υπέροχους και σημαντικούς κυρίους και κυρίες που ήταν στο χώρο και ήταν σα να γνωριζόμασταν χρόνια.
Επιφυλάσσομαι για το επόμενο πάρτυ του The Rake για ένα DJ set έκπληξη αλλά και για να σας παρουσιάσω τους εκλεκτούς καλεσμένους του. Προς το παρών μπορείτε να πάρετε μία γεύση εδώ.
Και τέλος όπως σε κάθε Pitti , μόλις τελειώνουν όλα τα events και οι εκθέσεις το ραντεβού δίνεται στο Gilli και στο Savoy. Εκεί γίνονται οι πιο ενδιαφέρουσες και χαλαρές συζητήσεις στο κλείσιμο της ημέρας. Και δεν θα μπορούσα να ζητήσω καλύτερο κλείσιμο και ολης της Pitti εβδομάδας όταν στο διπλανό τραπέζι μας ήταν οι συντελεστες του Style by Sarai, o Jason και ο Canadian Sartorialist από τον Καναδά.
Ξεκινήσαμε από μία 2λεπτη γνωριμία και καταληξαμε να μιλάμε αρκετή ώρα συνειδητοποιόντας ότι εχουμε τόσα να πουμε και μία απίστευτη χημεια που δε θα την αφήσουμε ανεκμεταλλευτη καθώς οι δρόμοι μας θα συναντηθούν πολύ πολύ συντομα.

Αυτές ήταν οι πιο δυνατές μου στιγμές στην τελευταία Pitti 96. Αυτή είναι για μένα η Pitti και αυτή η γεμάτη εβδομάδα μέσα από τα δικά μου μάτια.
Γεμάτη ενέργεια, ωραίους ανθρώπους και γνωριμίες με αναπάντεχη συνέχεια και ατελειώτες κουβέντες στο πιο ομορφο σημειο της Ευρώπης.
